I'm done with Pete's Pond for awhile. I had a traumatic experience. I had screenshoted these cute little creatures all piled up under the shrubs. I just did a search to find out that they are mongooses.

Even a family of warthogs came by and lounged right next to them. I was hoping they'd go to the pond and drink so I could get some shots in better light. That happened a couple of nights ago and a f'ing crocodile grabbed one of them. The warthogs were scared and ran except a large one which stood there and stared dumbfounded like me. I was so sick I turned off the computer and kept telling myself that it happens all the time, relax.

The image is slowly fading but I don't expect to view the pond for a good long while.

They are always hanging around. There was one near a beautiful stork the other night. I was holding my breath. I think they could do great damage if they bit a giraffe in the ankle. They jump really fast. I hate them. I wish they'd get them out of the pond.

That must be somewhere near where I live. It will be fun to see when there is snow on the ground.
