What will a Clinton cabinet look like?

back in 2008, I remember a lot of posts about a potential Obama cabinet. However, I searched on here the other day and have not seen much of anything on here?

Do you think anybody would stay on from the Obama administration? I would hope that Clinton does not take sitting many sitting senators or governors like Obama did.

Secretary of State? Does John Kerry stick around?
Sec of Defense? No idea.
Attorney General? I thought Lynch might have stayed on, but after the tarmac meeting with Bill Clinton, I'm afraid she'd be subject to endless investigations if the GOP retains the House...

How about first Supreme Court appointment? Assuming the GOP scrambles to confirm Garland in the lame duck period.

aren't saying that her cabinet will be 100% feminazis.

But, since we went 150 years without a woman in the cabinet until FDR, I think a cabinet of all women is perfectly fine.

... or similar. I'd love to be surprised here, but I expect to see a lot of lobbyists. The "Revolving Door" has not gone away. It is there, it is real, and we really should not accept it.

Howard Dean as Health and Human Services

Keep Julian Castro at HUD

Paul Krugman at Treasury?

Apparently, Michele Flournoy is being touted as the next Secretary of Defense

Secretary of State should be an interesting one, but aside from Joe Biden, I'm drawing a blank. Of course he's qualified, not only as VP, but his history as member and chair of the Foreign Relations Committee.

AG: Jennifer Granholm

Labor: Keep Tom Perez

EPA: Rumor has it John Podesta will get this one

I now remember hearing Flournoy for Secretary of Defense as well.

Biden would be a cool choice.

I would hope Castro would move up a bit from HUD, unless he thinks he can challenge for a senate seat or the governorship of Texas?

as Texas Governor! You're right -- he's too young and bright to be kept in that position. We need younger people like him at the forefront of the party if we want to continue progressing.

earlier in the year and Castro's name was brought up, the knock on him was that he wasn't experienced enough and his position at HUD was too low profile.

Secretary of State is a notoriously tiring job - I've heard it said it's more demanding than the presidency. Very few modern SoSes have stayed in the role for more than 4 years.
