What is with Michael Moore and his nasty attacks on Fantasia Barrino (American Idol)?

For the second time, I've seen him mention Fantasia as evidence of dumb voters. Fantasia won over Diana DeGarmo back in 2004. The other day, Moore falsely stated that she won over Clay Aiken. Now today on the View, he said Fantasia won over Jennifer Hudson.

It's true that Fantasia's career didn't take off the way many of us wanted it to, but that doesn't take away from her talent and the fact that she deserved to win. She's still my favorite contestant EVER from American Idol. I always look forward to her new albums.

5. Not Meant To Be An Insult

I do not think he is trying to insult Fantasia Barrino. Michael Moore is just trying to say Donald Trump could be the Fantasia Barrino of this election. According to Moore, everyone thought someone other than Barrino was going to win American Idol; however, the people who supported the other singers did not vote for those singers and as a result Barrino won. Moore is trying to tell Clinton supporters to get out and vote so that Donald Trump does not win solely because the other candidate's supporters failed to show up at the polls because they thought their candidate had the election in the bag.

There are a lot of teenagers who vote multiple times. And most of the audience doesn't know a whole lot about music.

The year Fantasia won there were other black female singers who were also fantastic - Jennifer Hudson and LaToya London. Fantasia had a real stage presence about her. Its really hard to say whose voice is best when they are all so good.

I know people here liked his recent Trump flick but I found it pretty insulting at least as far as I got in it before I had to turn it off.

He has taken stereo types and made them reality in his own world.
