When the titillating issue is more important than a solution, then I give up.
Third post. Differently each time all fell.
Sexual assault is not okay. We need solutions.

(83,785 posts)I am done with the subject.
The horror of sexual abuse and the suffering they caused, way to painful to be ignored. yet it is. This site and vid was indorsed by Obama and Biden, ignored. I posted 4 times, different ways so it would get the attention it deserved. It sunk.
So much for women and the men as well that are abused. We deserve better.

Everyone reaches their breaking point. When titillation matters more than solutions then I am done. This was a site endorsed by Obama and Biden on the sexual violence about women. They asked us to sign up to help. It is about solutions and how we can help. It was about how we can protect our men and women of sexual assault, and no one gives a shit.
I will no longer post on the pain and suffering that DT has caused so many women. They have been triggered and no one really cares about the solutions. We hurt and that should be the headline, not Donald Trump.

(20,581 posts)and workplaces and people are becoming educated. The seeds have been planted, they need to germinate and grow into a new consciousness. Women who have held secrets are telling their stories to those close to them. I even saw Chris Matthews tell a panel that the women producers at the MSNBC office were telling their stories and he was shocked. Rachel got permission to show Michelle Obama's speech with no commercial interruptions because it was so important.
There is some soul searching going on and I really believe we are moving in the right direction.
Rest up but don't give up.

(1,630 posts)This needs to be a national conversation. The entrenched apathy about assaults on women, just because they happen to be women, is the obstacle standing in the way of solutions. Those who stand idly by and look at violence against women as just a fact of life to be accepted are the biggest reason assault is at epidemic levels. We need greater awareness, we need people to actually care, we need people to stand up for their fellow human beings. If this election has done any good, it has brought the problem out of the shadows and into the light. It has also shown us exactly who the people are who are part of that problem. Silence by those who should support and defend, means consent.
