(24,736 posts)Could be worse. Somewhat cynical and blunt, but probably accurate in its depiction. Hell, we gotta face that we need a vibrant financial industry. She was talking to the choir. But there was also a side you would recognize from her public positions.

(12,904 posts)Like it or not, it is the President's job to promote American interests...even banking interests.
Did Hillary's speech say that she would support the banker's interests to the detriment of other Americans? Has she ever in her long, distinguished career indicated that she cares nothing of the needs of everyday persons? I don't believe that can be proven.
If they want to pick this apart, let them. We can pick apart Assface's speech of self-incrimination that he spewed last Friday!

(10,718 posts)answers questions with all the depth and understanding that one would expect from a president. The venue, of course, is the banking industry, and so the context of the speeches has a lot to do with the concerns of wall street. She does fine, balances concerns, recognizes the issues on all sides. In no instance does she sell out or undercut the democratic party platform, rather she seems to explain it and justify it.
Perhaps I'm biased, but I would vote for a person who can speak before such a group and keep her core principles, and give them a better understanding.

I would bet he has been fed this list of names, and some basic lines to say about these documents. He probably couldn't even begin to attempt an explanation of the information contained in those pages.
I don't think any of the wiki stuff has been so damaging up until now. It shows someone who is well acquainted with all the major players, discusses complex problems with intelligence and competence, and brings a wealth of knowledge of the workings of government from the lowest to the highest levels.
What more could we ask for in a President?
