Utah is the most interesting to me. Romney was one of the first to speak the truth about Trump. Say what you will about LDS, but they really do seem a lot more true to "Jesus way" than most other Christians. No Christian should support this asshole. It appears the LDS is the only sect that is really true to their creed.

But that doesn't mean they like Hillary (or Bill). There is a lot for them to dislike about the Clintons as well. So the question becomes how to try to make inroads in Utah. I don't think you can send in Bill or Hillary.

Biden would normally be good, but he wears his Catholicism on his sleeve. Likewise for Kaine.

Barack or Michelle? I said they were more like Jesus than most Christians. But that doesn't mean they aren't racists. I dont think the Obamas can go in.

And Bernie or Elizabeth are probably too scary liberal for Utah.

So by process of elimination, the best bet in Utah is probably TV ads.

I am an atheist and I bet I see the inside of a church 5 times more often than the average Trump supporter.

I'm in California and just saw a Trump TV ad which is odd because I understood his campaign canceled all California TV spots. This one was paid for by the NRA.

(on the ION channel I believe). You can't get any redder than Oklahoma so I am not sure why he is advertising here.

Speaking of Law & Order - did you see that NBC decided to delay showing the Trump inspired SVU episode until after the election?

was about a $5,000/year child daycare tax deduction.

It sounds like he is trying to come across more favorably to women. I think that that ship has sailed. Although Oklahoma is so far into the red that I would be shocked if the state didn't go for Trump. I think this state lost is collective common sense a long time ago.

21. Hillary proposes a tax CREDIT, tRump a tax DEDUCTION

Oct 2016

Tax CREDITS are usually smaller, but available to ALL, and subtracted from their tax bill whether they itemize deductions or not.

Tax DEDUCTIONS can sound higher, but they only save your percentage of Federal tax paid and are only available to those who itemize deductions. Higher income people itemize more often. Low income people most often don't have enough deductions to be higher than the standard deductions. The more income you have, the higher your tax rate, so the more a deduction is worth to you.

So a $500 child care tax CREDIT would be $500 subtracted from their tax bill for anyone who pays for child care.

A child care tax deduction would allow a multi-millionaire to deduct the thousands they pay for a live-in nanny. Since the poor don't make enough to itemize they get zip.

And a middle class person who itemizes and deducts $5000 at a 17% tax rate saves $700 on their tax bill. A wealthy person who itemizes and deducts the same $5000 at a 34% tax rate saves $1400 on their tax bill. So if you are really rich and spend $50,000 for child care, you would be able to subtract 14,000 from your tax bill.

That is the catch.

PACs and other organizations run political ads all the time. They are not connected to the campaigns.

I know someone who has seen pro-Trump ads in California. But they are not from the Trump campaign.

For example, the NRA is running a lot of ads all over the place.

depends on the cable/sat provider.
So it might have been a national ad that you saw.
