THE PLEDGE
This pledge is a personal commitment to help keep women and men safe from sexual assault.
It is a promise not to be a bystander to the problem, but to be a part of the solution.

(83,785 posts)I thank you for posting on the first one that sunk like a stone.
Donnie seems to get more press than the victims. Sad that.

Thanks for the reminder.

(1,630 posts)It is on all of us. And really, it is such an easy pledge to make. It is simply, as Michelle Obama said, about being a decent human being. How sad that there is such an enthusiasm to revel in the scandal yet so very little to make even the most basic and simple gesture to support and protect fellow human beings. It is incredibly depressing that assaults on women have become so commonplace that there is acceptance and apathy in the place where outrage, compassion and action belong. When you step forward to take the pledge, you let everyone know the kind of person you are and that you can be relied upon to have the courage to do the right thing. And that is a beautiful.
To everyone taking the pledge.
Thank you for this post, she.

(83,785 posts)It should be a simple gesture yet it seems it is just to complicated. I was happy to see Biden and Obama supporting the movement, two good men.
Thank you.
