(10,126 posts)Did not see where Trump's lawyer made the case for actual malice - a higher legal bar for defamation claims made by public figures. The potential counterclaims from these women might have a better chance against Trump.
I doubt Trump even bothers to file a lawsuit because his campaign is unraveling so quickly elsewhere. Eventually, someone has to do the math on legal bluster vs polls that show it's impossible for him to win.
His money for legal fees might be better spent defending him against the inevitable lawsuits that are coming his way and seeing if the GOP will give him a golden handshake like Ailes got to get out of the way to minimize the GOP losses in congress.
The Trump campaign pulling out of Virginia, Michigan polling +14 for Clinton, Pennsylvania +9 and Wisconsin polls doing a 20 pt swing to +19 for Clinton means the battleground states leaning Clinton are getting beyond any reasonable reach.
