Fox Business host Lou Dobbs on Thursday posted a phone number and an address purportedly belonging to one of the women who has accused Donald Trump of unwanted sexual contact.
Dobbs, a fierce Trump supporter, retweeted an individual who had posted the purported information of Jessica Leeds. The 74-year-old woman told The New York Times in an article published Wednesday that decades ago Trump groped her on a first-class flight.
"This is the Dirtiest Campaign in our History," Dobbs wrote, using the hashtags "MAGA," "TrumpPence16," and "AmericaFirst."

(18,318 posts)Google Hartford Courant published addresses of concealed carry citizens, and sift through the findings.
It was embarrassing to the Courant after they were reminded that the reason one cannot get the address of a car license plate owner is the very real threat to that owner (rape, murder, beatings, etc.). When I was in biz, and had a delinquent account to deal with, I would occasionally get the address of a deadbeat and mail a past-due notice. All I had to do was phone the TX Dept. of Public Safety and give them a plate number. The operator would dutifully read back the address; after all, it was a matter of public information.
Until it wasn't.

Sounds more like you're simply conflating your own pet narrative with this particular instance for greater validation. Doesn't it...?
Eleanors38
(18,318 posts)And yes it DOES sound like the same kind of action -- doxxing by a right-wing commentator, and by the anti-gun MSM -- without concern for those outed. But I am glad you conceded that the Courant did this. And stopped.

You have to ask yourself a la izquierda: What was the motivation of the Courant (and others) for doing this, other than some murmurings of "public records," blah, blah, blah? Why do you think they did this? Do you support this? Why?
a la izquierda
(11,795 posts)And that is exactly the fucking same as having one's personal information tweeted...how?
Keep on doubling down.
Eleanors38
(18,318 posts)1). Those records are indeed personal (you should remember that license plate numbers were NOT "personal information" -- until it was made so).
2). When records are made public, then they provide guidance to criminals; some use the info to go after residents where there are guns (one of the top 3 items crims like)
3). When records are made public, then they provide guidance to criminals; some use the info to avoid armed residents in favor of the unarmed ones (perhaps you?)
4). "Embarrassment" was experienced by at least one of the employees of the Courant who was -- despite editorial yammerings aside -- licensed.
5). What little credibility still claimed by MSM is further diminished when their was no credible explanation for the paper's actions -- except some dream of lurid mayhem?
Thank you for this opportunity to "make assurance doubly sure."
