Are they the "silent majority" or are they the "loud minority"?

Trump supporters believe they are the majority in this country and that most of America agrees with them. And anyone that disagrees with them must be a "godless liberal". And if they lose, it must be because the system is "rigged" or there is voter fraud. Otherwise, how could they lose?

Some have vowed that they are ready for a "revolution" if Hillary wins the election. They are ready for a 2nd Amendment solution if they cannot get their way. After all, everybody in America hates Hillary, or so they seem to think?

No doubt, if the election is close, they will say they were "robbed". It could not be that a majority of Americans - liberals, moderates, and some Republicans - reject their ideal of America.

They will scream and bellow and threaten their fellow Americans. They will blame everyone except themselves for their predicament.

IIRC the Evangelicals coined the term "moral majority" (in the 70s? 80s?) to express that they claim to represent the majority of US-citizens: good christian ones.
They invented their own legitimization by inventing people that they represent.

"Silent majority" is the successor to that.
Where is this majority that they claim to head? You can't hear them. They are silent. But they totally exist and they totally are the majority.

and I would say a minority, but a large minority group. They are between 30% to 45% of population probably. They are a good-sized, noisy group and they think they speak for everyone else that isn't loud like them, but they don't. The quiet folks likely don't agree with them and probably think they are scary (which is why they rarely hear anyone openly contradict them).

I'd call the rest of us the Silenced Majority because everything to the left of Mussolini has been suppressed for so long.

As for their predicament, it, like every grievance they hold, is imaginary.
