Why do DUers know more than "news" commentators

It amazes me that people on here and I'm sure elsewhere are more educated on the issues and records of these candidates.
Chris Hayes just brought up Mike Pences legislation in Indiana that miscarriages and abortions are required to be given funerals.
As it went to commercial, Chris Matthews said, is that true???

Everyone here knew that whole criminal cabal was lying. Yet the ever famous liberal media promoted the war like it was the next great thing. The critics of the lies were given scant airtime while the cheerleaders were blasted all over the place. Hmm...kind of like the nominee of the Republican party this past year.

Peace

I knew exactly what was going on. No one in the mainstream media helped me. I had to learn on my own. I was in my 30s.

I grew from that experience, and have become even more savvy at sifting through the bullsh!t.

I question everything and everyone, but connect the dots.

as well. Except there was an article in Time in the time frame that was accurate on the state of Iraq's "WMD"s that was roundly ignored. It said pretty much what I had been reading in Nation and elsewhere about what actual weapons inspectors had been saying.

I, too, learned a lot about our government due to that fiasco. None of it flattering. Of course, my father already knew all about that, having hated LBJ's guts since the Gulf of Tonkin non-incident.
