The 'winner' of this VP debate will be the one whose words hold up to scrutiny

...it's not enough to claim you dominated a debate if the substance of what you've said is revealed to be demonstratively false.

Pence's denials of Trump's words will come back to bite him on each and every instance he denied Trump's statements. THAT's what's going to drive coverage of this encounter, not whining about 'interrupting' those lies.

We are going to see ads with pence shaking his head juxtaposed with clips of him or Trump saying exactly what he denied.

Now many Americans realize Pence is just as much a pathological liar as Trump, just calmer and slicker and more cunning in his dishonesty

it took a few days for everything to fall into place-- sort of like it needed to "steep" for awhile, then the clean winner can emerge.

opinions are presented as facts then it makes them frauds! Especially when they are on video saying the thing they claim they never said.

...for their politics or policy.

Their Trump prophylactic failed to contain the mess already made on the republican brand, and should convince voters there's nothing that party has to offer them.
