“Ammon Bundy and his father basically handed their heads on the platter to the federal government,” said Stewart Rhodes, 51, the founder of a militia group called the Oath Keepers, which claims 35,000 members across the country ...

The Oregon occupation has also complicated the political landscape for state leaders who have attempted ... to acquire federal land ...

The lyrics to the songbird's melodious trill go something like this:
"Stay out of my territory or I'll PECK YOUR GODDAMNED EYES OUT!"

They're just sort of pathetic, milling around and being ignored by passers-by. Not even worth the trouble of making fun of them. I have no idea why Jason Patrick, quoted in the article, would think that hundreds of his like-minded associates would come to Little Beirut, but if they had, they would have found a welcome not to their liking. As it is, nobody's paying any attention to them, and that's death for demonstrators.
