Oddly, the ideology that rationalizes it, violates fundamental logic, as well as generally accepted moral and ethical conventions found throughout the world.
Some Americans seem to have returned to worshipping the golden calf, even as net worth becomes less and less a measure of one's real value thanks to large inheritances and financial gimmickry.
