David Barstow from the NY Times was on Morning Joe this morning. More coming?

He talked about the Trump's tax returns that were sent to Susanne Craig's snail-mail mailbox in the NY Times building and how they worked on the story.

In the on-set interview, ( at 3:42 in the video) Nicole Wallace asked him, "And what do you know from the envelope and the return address? He later replied, "Ummm...there's more to this story, ummm...but I'm not going to go into it right now...because we're still chasing." Which got a "WOW" response from Nicole and the others!

Here's the You Tube video:

1. The NYT probably have accountants going through the $916 million loss valuation.

That's what I think will be the real story here. $916 million loss in one year stretches the credulity test IMO.

9. Yep, the figure seems calculated. 916 m instead of a round 900 m.

One of his accountants probably "familiarized" the Trumpster of his "own" idea to claim that kind of loss with yearly incomes of much, much less and then subsequently write off 916 in future years which would hide the apparentl failure to pay up to 50m in earlier years while allowing him to write off 916 m against income over the next 20 years.

How does one justify that huge a loss in one year (during the 90s when everything was booming, and at, mind you, running casinos with a built in "house" advantage, along with his alleged other business losses) against a relatively piddling income of only 10-15 m?

Yeah, that's suspicious.

14. Bond prices plummeted in '94.

If he had bought a huuuuuge # of bonds in the mid-to-late '80's when their prices were very high, and sold them in '95, he would have taken a huuuuuge loss. This is the classic dumb buy high, sell low But -- selling at that point could have also been a calculated move to nail down the losses which could then be deducted against gains in the future .

His accountant, Mr. Mitnick already said that Trump has little interest in understanding the tricks he used to save him so much money. He just signed where he was supposed to sign and that was it.

Hillary and Roger Stone is saying she'll be done. Hope the NYT will have something big enough to release to make whatever sleaze Assange releases just more gossip.

So I don't think he goes to jail, for this.

But, it does look very good to an electorate which may be hard pressed to pay their taxes.

This is going to hurt him rather badly. And Rudy's and others comments are not helping. That they think it does attests to their collective delusion.

Their ship is taking on water rather quickly and I don't think they are bailing fast enough. In fact, they seem to be drilling more holes in the hull to somehow let the water out.

But they have to do perfect work that can be scrutinized under a legal microscope!

They are the first to complain about roads and such, but the last to help with paying for the fixes.
