Observe as the man on the bike keeps his hands in full view and follows the officers directions to the letter.

There would be far fewer shootings if more of the people that were shot had behaved the way this man on the motorcycle did.

Amazing!

If you're afraid and unable to keep a cool head and learn to deescalate situations, you probably need to find another profession.

Those cops were excellent. They came upon a cooperative, non-threatening individual and they worked with him and explained all their reasons for temporarily taking possession of his piece.

Now put that next to the situation in Minnesota a couple of months back where the black man was also armed. Philando Castile was also armed and cooperative. He told the cop he was armed and had a driver's license and carry permit. He reached to get them in response to the cop's request, whereupon he was then shot and killed.

Same in New Orleans, same in Tulsa.

Panicky, scared, trigger-happy cops need to seek another profession.

I'll take the cool-headed pros shown in that video any day.

Well put! So very true and so very important. Maybe we need to pay cops better, and train them better.

better training, wages, psych testing and hiring standards — now many departments eliminate applicants who display too much empathy.

Unbelievable. No wonder all the shootings.

as they do for doctors, nurses, and teachers.

That way, a cop can't just get fired for misbehavior (or quit just beforehand), and drive to the next town and start again.

Working on the Waco Twin Peaks biker shoot. Cops set it up to shoot the bikers then arrest every biker there, including clubs (not gangs) that exists only to help abused and foster kids, religeous clubs, clubs that ride vintage bikes etc. It was a legislative update meeting regarding states trying to pass motorcycle only checkpoints.

Cops are going after people who ride motorcycles because they consider them all to be from Sons of Anarchy. They killed 9 people and wounded 22 with cops hiding in cars surrounding the restaurant with AR 15's with silencers on them. Then they lied about what happened and slapped a gag order down so no one could tell their side of things to controverting the lies being told.

A rider in a motorcycle club like Sons of Anarchy.

He's riding a Kawasaki Ninja, a sport bike, which is severely looked down upon by cruiser riders in these clubs (who ride Harley's primarily, and maybe a Victory or Indian). He's also wearing a full face helmet with GoPro attachment (including a super artsy graphic) and riding armor. He's almost the very definition of a "squid" at first glance. And squids are not members of organized crime motorcycle gangs.

Super glad the stop was professional. I just wish I could get a cop to write me a warning instead of a ticket.

Views and mentions are blurred/muted out of vid.

Also, the term squid refers to riders wearing little or no gear.

There are many different kinds of Clubs that make up the National Council of Clubs, but police generally treat them all the same. Not all ride Harleys, but some do frown upon imported bikes.

They do not like, nor deserve to be called "Gangs." 1% means the 1% of bikers that consider themselves outlaws. The rest like to just ride, do charity, hang out with their friends who share a common interest. Just like it is wrong to label any race with a negative stereotype, the same holds true to bike clubs. The stereotype of bikers I believe contributed to the tragedy in Waco. Whatever happened to Freedom of Association?

If you also Google Don Carlos biker shoot out video you will see the guy give the signal to open fire. There will be a guy in a blue shirt and jeans standing in front of Don Corlos looking off. He is looking directly at the parking lot of Twin Peaks. Some of the videos start with this man running in the restaurant. You want one where he is standing out front watching. At some point you will see him look to the left for about 4 seconds, then to the right for 4 seconds, the he returns forward for a couple before he taps the side of his head 3 times with his right hand. Less than a second later everyone starts running for their lives.

always handle situations.

Just the thought of a black guy with a gun, permit or not, seems to trigger trigger-happy urges in panicky cops. We've all seen the videos.

Newsflash to all cop fans: More and better training, and more cool-headed cops.
