http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/star-trek-against-donald-trump_us_57ee3a9ee4b024a52d2e51d7?section=&The Star Trek universe has united in a bid to defeat Donald Trump.
More than 100 past and present cast and crew members from the hit TV shows and movies have come together under the Trek Against Trump banner to try to stop the GOP nominee from taking office.
George Takei, Zoe Saldana, J.J. Abrams and Will Wheaton are among those who called Trump an amateur with a contemptuous ignorance of national laws and international realities in a blistering Facebook post on Thursday.
They also urged voters to elect Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton on Nov. 8.
We cannot turn our backs on what is happening in the upcoming election, they wrote. Never has there been a presidential candidate who stands in such complete opposition to the ideals of the Star Trek universe as Donald Trump.

(40,416 posts)Happy to see many on the list, though. George and Walter! I like that Sirtis, Frakes, McFadden, Crosby, Spiner and Burton are there. Then there's Louise Fletcher (not sure of her ST connection).
Needless to say, it is a good list!

Surprised that Patrick Stewart wasn't on the list as well. He's high profile, and there is no way that he approves of Trump.

(40,416 posts)And I am a rather huge fan of Louise Fletcher. Don't know her from Deep Space Nine, but that doesn't matter. Glad to see her on the list. She's 82 years old, BTW.

(838 posts)But Shatner is not on there because he's still a Canadian citizen. Over on Twitter, he once remarked it would be illegal for him to endorse anyone not Canadian. I don't know how true that is, but perhaps something applicable to Stewart as well?
