A semi-regular on A Prairie Home Companion. Great music.

It's a live radio show and he was the last act. Bruce Cockburn and others were on prior. Long show, and the audience was tired. Then they had sound troubles and we sat there for 20 min or so, while they were sorted out.
I felt sorry for him, people looked like they were going to sleep. The show is on Sunday night. So quiet you could hear a pin drop.
Finally the problems were fixed and the band went from zero to eighty in like 5seconds.
It was like they flipped a switch the audience was up yelling, dancing. That's what a performer can do who is good.
