Banned books - One man's list
Saturday, September 26th through Saturday, October 3rd is the 27th annual National Banned Books Week, a week that opposes censorship, the Thought Police, and closeted gay "family values" types who sublimate their man-on-man urges through rampant and vigorous homophobia
The writer of the article made his list based on the "
hypocritical, ignorant, and, based on the content of the books, ironic."
Can say I've read all of them except "Where's Waldo" and the Harry Potter series
"Fahrenheit 451" by Ray Bradbury.
"The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" by Mark Twain.
"Catcher in the Rye" by J.D. Salinger
"The Satanic Verses" by Salman Rushdie.
"Steal This Book" by Abbie Hoffman.
"1984" by George Orwell.
"Where's Waldo" by Martin Handford (You won't believe the reason)
"The Diary of Anne Frank" by Anne Frank.
The "Harry Potter" series by J.K. Rowling.
"Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley.
"To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee.
Of course my mind ran into the gutter when the words "Banned Books" is read. "Lady Chatterly's Lover", " Peyton Place" , "Lolita"
