Our forefathers... And Foremothers came to America to seek refuge and freedom. Whether they were escaping war or famine they were always greeted by lady liberty, proudly holding her torch high in the air. We are a beacon of hope and opportunity for the world. We should continue to shine that light of freedom to the rest of the world, not the shadow of a wall.
We dont retreat from our adversaries. We need to rise up and push forward. There is a light at the end of this tunnel and we need to race toward it, not cower in the darkness or turn and run in the other directions. In the words of Margaret Thatcher. "This lady is not for turning."
