He's been called The Unluckiest Elephant in the World, and Wildlife SOS has been trying to rescue him from horrible conditions for over 2 years. Finally, he's free! He was a friend of Raju, the elephant who cried as he was being rescued. They were supposed to rescue them together, but they were stopped when trying to rescue Mohan.
The picture of Moha was taken, 2 months after Wildlife SOS rescued him. They had to hold him in a "halfway house" for 4 months until the Indian courts issued a final ruling. You can see how skinny he is even after 2 months of decent food. This is a good day!
Hat's off to Wildlife SOS for never giving up.

I'm happy I'm only hearing of this ordeal now that it's been resolved in a good way.
