For the sake of accuracy, Roethlisberger has never been arrested of rape, much less convicted of it, neither once nor twice, nor has he been charged, much less found at fault, in a civil case involving rape.

Therefore, your characterization of him as a serial racist is completely without merit.

Per the linked article:

"Darren Sharper was a five-time Pro Bowl safety who is currently serving an 18-year prison sentence for drugging and raping women in four states.

When the nominees for the 2017 Pro Football Hall of Fame were announced on Wednesday, Sharper’s name was among them."

The rules state that:

Any fan may nominate any qualified person who has been connected with pro football in any capacity simply by writing to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The only restriction is that a player and coach must have last played or coached at least five seasons before he can be considered.

He was also nominated for the Hall of Fame last year, received zero votes, and 80% of the voters must agree when someone is admitted. This is akin to George W. Bush being nominated for a Nobel Peace prize (and he was).

and who is taking one of those knees. Eyes on screens means cash in wallets.

They're all about the money and quite honestly, they care as much about the National Anthem as they do the brains of their athletes that are damaged from playing that 'game' over the years. In sum, not at all.

They're just playing a game for drama.

The writer of the article is confused....or just a liar.

He's trying to say the NFL execs are being hypocrites because they hate Kapaernick, but they'll nominate the serial rapist, Sharper, for the Hall of Fame.

The execs have absolutely ZERO to do with who gets nominated. That is done by members of the media.

until they stand up for something -as did Kaepernick - at which point they're told to shut up and concentrate on playing their game.

Until they do something socially you agree with, at which point we should listen to the dumb jocks who hit each other in the head, got a free ride in class, and bully everyone.

It's all subjective. How many people that don't follow the NFL, or sports at all, had any idea who the hell Colin Kaepernik was before a few days ago?

I'm thinking the answer is that a helluva lot of people know who Colin Kaepernick is. Certainly more people than know who Tim Kaine or Mike Pence is.

Do you know who Colin Kaepernick is, and do you care about his opinions? I'm guessing fewer people would've cared about his opinions than knew who he was back then. What? He's a quarterback for a football team? Ok, why would I listen to him?

If you're not an NFL fan, do you know who Joe Flacco is? That should be the poll now. Or, do you know who Teddy Bridgewater is?

Kaepernick called Clinton out for the email thing. If he had started with that, and not the anthem protest, what would be the perception of him?

He's never done anything meaningful in his pro career. He's a backup quarterback and will likely never be anything more.
