Senate supermajority for Republicans in 2019?

This year was suppose to be the year in which democrats took back the senate. We needed to have a good year this year because in 2018 democrats are defending a lot of seats. Seats in red states and swing states where democratic voter turnout is low in mid term elections. I looked at the map and I can see where the republicans have 61-63 seats after the 2018 election. That, a President Trump, a republican house, and a 6-3 conservative court (Ginsberg retirement) scares the CRAP out of me.

Edit: now of course because of the damage they would do the Dems have a great chance to win in 2020, but the damage would have already been done (especially on the Supreme Court).

Did I fall asleep and miss a couple months?

Note - Republicans will have a much harder time picking up seats in 2018 if Trump is president.

the country won't survive until 2018.

If Trump wins, maybe the country doesn't deserve to.

Not this again. I must be a troll because of my low post count and the fact that I posted something like this. If you want to know why I posted this it is because I was watching Rachel Maddow and she discussed the Democrats fading hopes for the Senate. That made me think about 2018 and when I looked at that map it didn't look good.

That would make two spots HRC gets to fill next year. Kennedy is very close to retiring too, so maybe she will get three within the next two years.
