that Trump's candidacy has emboldened nitwits like this one firefighter.

Can he have been that tone-deaf that he didn't realize how wildly offensive that comment is, or does he know damn well it's offensive but went ahead with it in the spirit of Trump's racial and ethnic bigotry?

I'm glad he's been relieved of duties. Sounds to me like he has some growing up to do.

13. I'm guessing that he isn't exactly what most people

would call normal. His abilities in some areas are superb, but he functions at a comparatively low level in other areas, such as social interaction. He might have been joking and didn't realize his joke was unfunny, or he might have been serious and didn't think about how awful slavery is. That's my profile of him, anyway.

if he has kids, but if he does, they have to go to school all the rest of this year with kids whose parents would not tolerate that kind of speech.

4. There's a movement out there

I forget what they call themselves, but they believe that only the first ten amendments to the Bill of Rights matter, and the additional amendments after that are all illegal. Guess what's not in the first ten? Citizenship birthright, banning slavery, allowing women the vote, allowing 18 year-olds to vote, the right of private citizens to sue governments, etc.

These people are all dicks.
