I am no foreign intelligence expert, but...

when these young men make trips to Afghanistan, Pakistan, and other countries in the Middle East, they are visiting areas that are very, very anti-American. They cannot help but be exposed to the American hatred.

So, why does our government not have a list of everyone that visits that area once they have come back to America? Is that the same as "profiling"? I think not.

Just as the San Bernadino shooter had visited Saudi Arabia and came back to this country as a "radicalized" individual. Does anyone see a pattern here?

Shouldn't that raise a red flag?

As far as legal, there could be issues with profiling and intrusion to privacy (just guessing).

For security, I would be very surprised if people who gobtontgese areas aren't on the radar or tracked in some way. I've read a few articles about how people who carry out these attacks often are not unknown to security organizations.
