(22,037 posts)Whenever anyone makes a negative public statement about Donald Trump, it's almost inevitable that he responds, usually on Twitter, with a counterattack. Yet with Mark Cuban, Mr. Trump has been strangely silent. What's up with that? Does Mr. Cuban have some dirt on Mr. Trump that forces him to remain silent?
Mr. Cuban has previously said that he likes Mr. Trump but doesn't consider him to be either presidential nor as rich as he claims to be. Why has Mr. Cuban been spared the Wrath of Trump?

(65,061 posts)Just a guess, but he doesn't want to get into a war with a guy who also had a TV show, who has made more money than Trump has, etc?
PJMcK
(22,037 posts)Donald Trump knows that Mark Cuban is richer, by far, than he is. Mr. Cuban is a real billionaire whereas Mr. Trump really isn't.
But there seems to be more to it than that. For example, Mr. Trump's reaction to former Secretary of Defense William Gates statement that Mr. Trump is unsuitable for the presidency was immediate and self-serving. Why hasn't he said anything about Mr. Cuban?
It really doesn't matter but it does seem odd.

(56,828 posts)and Bloomberg is wealthier than Cuban and Trump put together, and then some.
And, is the Bloomberg Channel related to Bloomberg at all? That would be an entire network, not just a single show that was way past its glory days.

(65,061 posts)I forgot that Bloomberg had that kind of dough.

(95,337 posts)But Cuban's money is real, not fictitious like Trump's. And Cuban lives like a billionaire but not some obnoxious hoity-toity let's make everything gold-leaf in the house like something out of 1777 Versailles.

He might know that Cuban could hit him in a way others can't.
I'm sure he is angry though. Just too scared to say in public at this time.

(11,567 posts)A close examination of Trump reveals he is just another con artist, albeit, a skilled one. His lack of knowledge or interest in learning about the issues is more than a little horrifying. He would lay waste to our democracy in a very short period of time by starting needless wars, raiding the treasury for personal gain and that of his cronies, an autocratic crackdown on civil liberties... the list is very long.
