Dem senator calls out Trump: ‘Blood will be on your hands’ if one of your supporters kills Clinton

Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy (D) tore into GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump on Twitter, telling the candidate he will have “blood on his hands” after suggesting on Friday that her security detail, should be disarmed to “see what happens.”
On Twitter, Murphy wrote, “Hey @realDonaldTrump, if you keep suggesting your supporters kill @HillaryClinton, someone will listen. The blood will be on your hands.”
In a blatant appeal for NRA voters, Trump previously suggested that there might be a Second Amendment way of stopping a President Clinton, saying, “If she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is.”
Murphy has become a leading proponent for expanded gun laws following the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in his home state that took the lives of 20 children aged between 6 and 7 years old, as well as six adult school staff members.
Friday night saw former Rep. Gabby Giffords (D) — a victim of America’s gun violence epidemic — called on the GOP nominee to apologize for his comments, calling Trump “dangerously unfit” for office.
