37. I'll admit, I looked it up. Went to the wiki to look at the list of names for groups of animals.

Was searching for the term for a group of snakes (pit or knot) but snails was right there above snakes and that word just jumped out at me as appropriate.

It just looked to me like a portmanteau of escargot and abattoir, which seemed fitting for some reason.
