http://www.newsobserver.com/news/politics-government/article102179772.htmlIn an interview published Monday with Better Wyoming, Wyoming State Rep. Gerald Gay said women "tend to take every sick day thats available to them, and thats a gender thing."
"Thats a fact of life, you know, and its the nature of Wyomings business and also the nature of gender politics," he said, when asked by the advocacy group if he believed the gender wage gap was real. "Men and women have different ways of going about taking time off moms for maternity leave and that sort of thing. Women are always going to take their full maternity leave, and theres the dependability issue about whether theyre going to show up for things."
Gay further pressed the point in an interview with the Casper Star-Tribune, saying women are also inappropriately using sick days for reasons other than illness.
"They take Junior to the hospital or go see Johnnys soccer game," he told the paper, citing anecdotal evidence from employers who hes talked to.

Gerald Gay? Shouldn't that be "Gerald Homosexual"?

Always the first state to light up red on election night. Just watch which state turns red first on election night. It'll be Wyoming.

Apparently, State Rep. Gay is unaware that men take sick days, take paternity leave when possible, take days off when their kids are sick, and take off to take their kids to the hospital, etc.
If he's a parent, and leaves his wife to manage parenting for him, I feel sorry for her and for her kids.
