IMO, Obama should run for the Senate in 2018 or for DC House seat. .

In the House seat he could caucus and get on some of the powerful committees even without having a floor vote.

Has already said if Hillary wins and the Senate is Dem they will use the nuclear option for SCOTUS votes.

The landscape is harsh right now. But surely they can pick up at least 4 and preferably 5 in a year when the GOP is defending 23

IIRC, he stated that he wants to go back to being a professor.

In any case, he has put a lot of miles on himself in the past 8 years. I'd not be upset if he pulled over and let someone else drive for a while.
