(269,157 posts)No question she used the objective pronoun and not the nominative , but how do we get around that.
I used to correct female students who and said 'he and she' rather than 'she and he'. Why do you always put yourself last I would ask. The guys never do that.

(19,970 posts)path of least resistance, in that 'he and she' flows better compared to 'she and he' ? I would say 'my wife and I' rather than 'I and my wife' for no other probable reason than it is more fluent to me.

(269,157 posts)Lots of documents and more than a few books don't include women as part of society. It flows because we're accustomed to it, but in lecture rooms where girls out number boys 7:3 it's just plain wrong to ignore the majority. i say hubby and I as well.
