Cedar Point has no plans for the 1.7 million board feet that make up a roller coaster the park is closing down.
This is going to be a huge waste of valuable resources.

not only until I rode one of those rail ones many years later did I say, okay, I might ride one of these types again.
but, as for MEAN STREAK....

Just checked online, and no, it is not the Blue Streak.
Knoebel's Amusement Park in Pennsylvania sometimes buys up other people's old coasters and restores and uses them. They have an outrageous wooden coaster called The Phoenix.

The wood is still probably very good though and can be re-purposed.

i have no real conception of how much wood that is...but i need a hunk to help me fix a box spring that broke....
i understand it is sometime cheaper to dispose than reuse...but damn thats a lot of wood
