Either the media is trying to foist a Trump regime presidency on the American people or they want a horse race for ratings.

For many years, people on DU have told me, every primary season, to abandon all hope, all based on polls favoring their candidate.

When polls don't favor a chosen candidate, suddenly we're not supposed to "believe" them? Like not "believing" in vaccinations or climate change, or?

I'd just like some consistency.

Polls for more than a year have showed a close race between Clinton and Trump. It's a close race. Close or not, Trump needs to be defeated.

About the particular limitations of a given poll, but I get tired of the "if the poll supports my candidate it must be great but if the poll doesn't support my candidate it must be skewed" crowd

Here's one observation from DU member LenaBaby61, 9 days ago"

"This CNN poll used flawed sample numbers ...

They under-sampled Democrats and over-sampled R's to get their "horse race" meme .

"28% described themselves as Democrats, 32% described themselves as Republicans, and 40%
described themselves as independents or members of another party."

Look at the internals and small sample sizes party affiliated/identified used in that poll.

RIDICULOUS. "
