Donald Trump’s 9/11 cleanup effort was more about sweeping up cash than helping New Yorkers.

When confronted with questions about why he took $150,000 in government money meant to help small businesses recover from 9/11, Donald Trump has repeatedly suggested he got that money for helping others out after the tragedy.

But documents obtained by the Daily News show that Trump’s account was just a huge lie.

Trump’s campaign and his attorney did not respond to questions about why Trump had pointed to his claim that he allowed people to use the building when the forms show otherwise, or requests for more information about who and how he helped after the terror attacks.

The Republican presidential nominee has previously misled the public about his charitable work — with The Washington Post finding no evidence that he fulfilled claims that he gave millions to charities.
