WSJ: Reporter Interrupts Obama Remarks

http://blogs.wsj.com/washwire/2012/06/15/reporter-interrupts-obama-remarks/

President Barack Obama’s Rose Garden remarks on his new immigration policy took a bizarre turn Friday, when a reporter for a conservative website interrupted his remarks with questions.

Neil Munro, who works for the website the Daily Caller, shouted a few minutes into the president’s nine-minute speech. Mr. Munro asked why Mr. Obama favors foreigners over Americans, an apparent dig at the president’s new policy.

Mr. Obama responded, “Excuse me sir, it’s not time for questions sir.” Mr. Obama later said, the “next time I’d prefer you let me finish my statements before you ask that question.” (See the video.)

Mr. Munro then interrupted the president again, and Mr. Obama said “I did not ask for an argument; I’m answering your question.” Mr. Obama said his policy was the “right thing to do.”

So glad to see the WSJ got this right and exposed this scumbag and Tucker's lies about it.

The President of the United States should definitely be shown the respect that his office deserves regardless of your feelings toward the person who holds it.

The reporter was not just impolite but is a fool. He didn't help his side of the issues by his actions. I think Obama responded in a polite and fair manner and showed far more wisdom and maturity than the reporter.

edited to change the word irregardless to regardless.

Notice that the "real journalists" have notebooks in their hands, taking notes so they can accurately report the president's comments. This a**hole, hands in pocket, leaning back and arrogant, is just there to make an ass of himself.

You can bet who will be a guest on Hannity and O'Reilly and Gretta and Glen this week!

politics.
You are correct to point out his body language-arrogant stance with hands in pockets. This is not a 'real journalist' with a notebook or tape recorder in case he hears a snippet he feels is important.

This is someone who went along and deliberately interupted..another Coulter aspirant.

ignore the fool who was put in his place.

that after months of not hearing about it, I heard THREE separate references in the past week to Joe Wilson and his interruption of Obama's SOTU.

The media are throwing red meat and trying to rev up the Republican base, for sure.

Surely this shitstain was looking for his "golden moment"...and he went for it. If it was pre-meditated, the fool forgot about making noise on a Friday...most of the corporate media is already at happy hour and little if anything will be seen/heard over the weekend. Do it earlier in the week and the talking heads and hate radio venom spewers have several days to circle jerk with this thing....by Monday we'll be on to the next shiny object and sleezebag will have to find a new stunt to get attention.

While this douchenozzle Breitbart wannabe didn't succede in becoming a corporate media darling, he'll surely get the royal treatment in wingnutlandia. I'll bet a bright shiny dime his smug mug shows up on Faux in the very near future and will have hate radio shows calling. I'm willing to bet the hits at the cesspool he works for went through the roof and they're all doing a happy dance. It's all theater...which in many ways indicates where the corporate media and its political accolytes have gone.

Sadly I expect more of this...in our YouTube/instant video around the world era...going viral will be a big battleground this fall. We saw how it took down Macaca Allen and can make a candidate look bad/weak. I'm sure this episode will energize more of these right wing asshats in trying to embarass candidates and disrupt events in the weeks and months ahead...
