Fox News appears to be having some staffing issues - Now Van Susteren is leaving

Might loyalty to Roger Ailes be behind this? Or perhaps she's gotten a vibe that the network might be switching from propaganda to actual news?

Greta Van Susteren Is Leaving Fox News

Greta Van Susteren left Fox News on Tuesday after 14 years at the network, an abrupt departure that comes with just two months left before the 2016 election.

It’s highly unusual for a network host to leave so suddenly, and the move was announced right after 21st Century Fox settled a lawsuit with former Fox News host Gretchen Carlson.

Carlson filed a sexual harassment lawsuit in July against Fox News chairman Roger Ailes that opened the floodgates to more than 20 women reportedly coming forward, including primetime star Megyn Kelly. Within weeks, Ailes resigned in disgrace from the top-rated cable network he launched and led for two decades.

Van Susteren said in a Facebook post she informed Fox News management on Thursday night that she was leaving, but she indicated she’d been considering the move for some time.

“Fox has not felt like home to me for a few years and I took advantage of the clause in my contract which allows me to leave now,” she wrote. “The clause had a time limitation, meaning I could not wait.”

I've never watched Fox News, so the only exposure I've had to any of their on air personalities are film clips.

I do know someone who used to work at the Fox movie studio, and he had heard if Rupert retires and hands things over to his son Lachlan, things would definitely go in a different direction.

And considering the tone of the current staff, that might not be a welcome change. I think if more people start jumping ship, that rumor will have more credibility.

even when that impossible person is Ailes running a "news" channel like Jabba the Hut's palace.

Without his absolute certainty of their ideological superiority, a lot of the air has been let out of the Pox News bubble.

That's why he was still there and being overpaid at the age of 74, well beyond his corporate expiration date of 55.

Unless the church of scientology starts up a news network, I agree - where else could she go?
