If you didn't see it, believe me, it was brutal. Every one of the real celebrities slammed her mercilessly, and it was obvious that some of them really hated her. But even worse than that was the audience response to her trying to be funny. All of her punchlines were met with either loud booing or dead silence and she was visibly shocked real-time by their response. I'm sure she watched the broadcast last night, being the narcissist she is, but I would be willing to bet she didn't throw a "watch party".
For me, pure schadenfreude.

(7,947 posts)It's not funny if the people involved actually dislike/hate each other. Coulter made no real attempt to be funny. Although to win anyone over, she would've had to have the funniest 5 minutes of material in comedy history. Everyone piled on her, and it wasn't good natured in any way. Ok at first, but at some point it just becomes name calling, and not a roast.
Whoever ok'd her being there, it's a weird choice. I guess it gets headlines, but anything said to her, or from her, was just wasted airtime.
