Former Subway spokesman Jared Fogle is planning to sue the parents of one of the young girls he was convicted of abusing.
Fogle, 39, is claiming that the parents of one of his victims are partly responsible for her abuse, according to a report in TMZ.

He now thinks the family should accept partial responsibility.
The suit, which names the victim as Jane Doe, says her parents fought often and abused alcohol in front of her. This subsequently led her to engage in destructive behavior, including self-harm and drug abuse, and ultimately resulted in her being abused.

(9,527 posts)If they hadn't been drinkers, then their kid wouldn't be a drinker, meaning he wouldn't have been forced to do horribly inappropriate things to her.
I'd be embarrassed at trying to defend myself with a woman was drunk/dressed provocatively/etc that I couldn't control myself, much less a 9 year old girl.

(7,820 posts)Leave this family the hell alone. You were responsible for your crimes. The girl didn't make you do it, her parents sure af didn't make you do it. This lawsuit going after your victim's family is vindictive and almost certainly won't win but will drag them through the mud and cost them a ton of money.

I'm not sure if if I'd be less cynical if I wasn't married to a lawyer, or more.

(20,219 posts)They think their behavior is normal and when they're caught, they don't take responsibility for there actions. They blame the child's parents. They say the child was "seductive".
