I swear I'm not dreaming this. It was 1981 or 1982, and some reporter had either interrupted him or asked him a question (I think about PATCO) that he really really didn't like.
I've been internet searching but all I get so far is him telling a heckler to "aw shut up".

(37,457 posts)I swear, I remember the incident with Reagan back in the day. I even remember seeing it depicted on the web. So far I'm too lazy to search through all his news conference transcripts, yuck.

It was like a one day news story and quickly went down the black hole after that.
One can only imagine the explosion of rage if Bill Clinton had done such a thing. I'm still angry at how he was booed and heckled at the Vietnam Memorial (in the middle of giving a speech in which he praised Vietnam veterans effusively) on Memorial Day 1993.
