Kids with Vblogs and selfies and youtube pages

I seem to be a in a minority with the my thoughts on this subject, so I
will post it here.

Does the following lead to kids having confidence or does it turn them slightly
narcissistic...

Kids say aged between 8-12 that have video blogs, podcasts, youtube pages,
and that take a lot selfies.

Most people I talk to, say it gives them confidence, I kinda disagree, I think it
can turn some kids or give some kids, slight Narcissistic qualities.

Just viewed one from on youtube from my country, New Zealand.

This kid around 10 was giving his opinion, but appeared to want to get across, that
he had disgust for his viewers and how dumb his viewers were for not recognizing,
that he knew the score.

Videos, like this are common.

I remember a work colleague a few years back, showing me their facebook page, and a friend of their
kids had taken several selfies of himself, all the same, looking down at the camera,
with disgust, my work colleagues, all thought, that kid has got confidence, I thought that
isnt confidence hes trying to get across. The kid wouldve been 12.

So am I wrong to think its actually narcissism and not confidence in these kids?

Facebook is all about narcissism. Some of my best friends are narcissists. Some aren't.

factors, not least their home life.

ABOVE ALL, encouraging kids to read is most important. Expand the imagination, expand the mind.

I have a 10 year old who is into his Youtube, Minecraft, Roblox etc but is in the middle of reading through the Harry Potter series of books plus plays Rugby, Hurling, Gaelic football and Taikwondo. Get them to do as much as possible.
