7. I don't much care for Patrick Murphy... The FL Dem party

keeps throwing us corporatist candidates that are better on social issues, but are essentially Republicans in all other talking points. Patrick Murphy was a Republican before switching parties and having his Daddy's money filter into the FL Dem campaign coffers.

We badly need progressive's to begin winning and taking over the state's law making apparatus, or there won't be a FL left when the oceans rise. Right now, we need engineers scrambling to figure out how to keep the land dry, the fresh water from being intruded by salt water... And we need some environmental safe guards in general regarding building and run off issues. There's a massive coral reef die off occurring, killer microbes in the water, and now, Zika Virus issues... We don't need more people who would support items like fracking in FL or off shore oil rigs.

We are the sunshine capital, we should capitalize on becoming the solar power state of the country!

What then happens with the "wisdom" of the FL party elites and their decision to run their "money candidates", is that they lose the people from their base to bother going out to volunteer and spread the word and work for these candidates. I know so many who don't even bother anymore OR have jumped ship to Green Party that were very, very good at organizing volunteers and GOTV efforts and even making sure people had a way to get to the polls on Election Day.

It sure feels like a slap in the face to work so hard trying to elect a Democratic Governor against a Charlie Crist AND then the party just takes Charlie Crist in and runs him for the party against a Republican. So, one year, you have a list of horrific abysmal things the man has done to FL citizens, and the next, you are supposed to tout glowing remarks about his character and the positive work he's done? Really! Basically, the party is working for their donors, they try to squelch any progressive voice, and they ultimately depress Dem voters.
