Trump is a greater threat to America than terrorism

Foreign or homegrown terrorists can cause temporary mayhem and many deaths, but they are totally incapable of destroying America

Trump, on the other hand, has unleashed a whirlwind of anger, hatred, bigotry and xenophobia that has always existed here, but never really had a nation-wide voice.

There is no way he can win this presidential election. But his revenge will be the actions of his supporters who actually believe all of the venom and sewerage he's spewed up over the past year.

He has made it possible for them to vent their hatred and their prejudices against "The Other," publicly, loudly and viciously. He has told them that violence is okay. He has opened Pandora's Box and freed the ancient evils that have always been lurking just below the surface.

It may take decades to rein in the poison he has released across the land. However, he has made it possible for a sly, more acceptable demagogue to run against Hillary four years from now, possibly win, and then proceed to destroy our freedoms. -- This may be Trump's diseased legacy. And it's why I consider him far more dangerous than any terrorist threat.

far more dangerous to our democracy than the terrorists could ever be.

Republicans are definitely an inside-job, home-grown danger to our
nation. I don't even think of them as Republicans. The Republican
Party has been ruled by Neo-Conservatives ever since Reagan. The
old-timer Republicans have begun to be gradually kicked out by the
Neo-Cons shortly after the Eisenhower years.

today's GOP ain't it. They made Trump possible and after he goes away, they'll go back to being who and what they are.

I'm assuming they'll hold control of the House and will spend the next four years blocking Hillary the same way they've blocked Obama. They have no interest in governing.

by trying to get as many Progressives and Liberals into government (federal, state and local)
as possible. I believe they will be successful, too

The GOP will block Hillary. This will make not only the Liberals but also the general public more
furious at them. Unlike some of the present weak-kneed Dem. leadership, Hillary, Elizabeth
and Bernie won't be shy about yelling out from the roof-tops what the GOP politicians are doing
to make life more miserable for the middle-classes and poor, in order to make the wealthy 1%
still richer. I wouldn't be surprised if both Houses will become Democratic in Nov. 2018

I think by election time 2020, both Houses of Congress could become heavily Democratic.
Then things will really start popping!!
