The campaign -- which goes back years -- has escalated to shouting over the summer, as Trump spiraled in the polls while mostly failing to connect with voters outside his base demographic. Now, as the race enters a crucial phase, there has been a growing push to fundamentally undermine Clinton's candidacy.
Much in the way "birthers" (Trump was among the most prominent) sought similar ends by questioning President Barack Obama's citizenship, the "healthers" are using junk science and conspiracy theories to argue that Clinton is suffering from a series of debilitating brain injuries.
In an interview on "Fox News Sunday" this weekend, former New York City mayor and Trump surrogate Rudy Giuliani first accused the mainstream media of hiding evidence, then encouraged doubters to "go online and put down 'Hillary Clinton illness.'"

(135,855 posts)This is a FUCKING United States Senator......
BRIANNA KEILAR (HOST): And we're back now with Republican Senator Jeff Sessions of Alabama. He is a key adviser to Donald Trump. I wanted to talk about something a little bit different now, Senator Sessions, and that is something that we have heard several Trump surrogates suggest recently, which is that Hillary Clinton, they are suggesting, is ill. You have Rudy Giuliani, you have Katrina Pierson, who is the spokeswoman for the campaign suggesting this. These are high-level surrogates. Do you think that Hillary Clinton's health is really a problem?
JEFF SESSIONS: Well, the questions are being raised. I don't know the details of it and I'm not going to attempt to give a medical opinion on it but I can say one thing for confident and surety, Donald Trump is a strong vibrant force. This is a leader who can move the ball. Hillary Clinton is low energy compared to him. It will be business as usual. Nothing significant will happen under her leadership over the next four years. Extending the Obama leadership. Donald Trump can turn this country around. He can break through the log jam in Washington. And get some things done that should have been done long ago.....
SESSIONS: All I can tell you is I'm not a doctor and I'm not diagnosing it. But she's not even doing press conferences. She's doing such a few events compared to Donald Trump. She is apparently taking more time off and resting and not working. We need a leader that's working 24 hours --

(9,897 posts)That's the only explanation I can come up with that explains why these fools believe their inflamed and agog base of zealots is enough to win elections with no other demographic at all.
Its like an entire campaign of people sucking freon out of air conditioners to get high and confusing passing out cold with being really fun...not that I would know how to identify people like that at all...

(13,390 posts)What do we expect? How many people over the age of 50 have not experienced some physical decline. Hillary and Trump are at and beyond "age of onset" for all kinds of age related complications. It's completely natural and ordinary. The best answer is "so what? She probably wears reading glasses, too."
Both candidates are at an age that most people want to be retired. I don't get the outrage over something that should have been expected.

Let's play their game. Does Jeff Sessions molest farm animals? I don't know. The question has been raised. I think that, clearly, he needs to come forward and give convincing proof that he does not.
