Former Miss Universe becomes US citizen so she can vote against Donald Trump

http://www.rawstory.com/2016/08/former-miss-universe-becomes-us-citizen-so-she-can-vote-against-donald-trump/

Alicia Machado is officially an American citizen! Inside Edition spoke exclusively with the former Miss Universe after her big day, who revealed that she’s become a U.S. citizen just in time to cast her vote against Donald Trump. Machado is the Venezuelan-born beauty queen who Trump says gained 40lbs after being crowned Miss Universe in 1996. Trump made her workout in front of the press and she claims he called her “Miss Piggy” in private.

“Today is a very important day for me. Now I’m a U.S. citizen and I feel so proud,” Machado told Inside Edition , before she waved a miniature American flag that she was holding and said, “Mr. Trump, haha.” Machado took the Oath to Allegiance in Miami today. She posted on her Instagram a photo of herself after the Oath and wrote, “ I so proud and inspiration to be a U.S. Citizen! I'll be Voting! All my power and my support become with my next President @hillaryclinton Miss Housekeeping and miss Piggy Can Vote @realdonaldtrump.”...

Months after being crowned, Machado gained weight and Trump demanded that she lose it. Trump called her an “eating machine” during an interview with Howard Stern, and invited the media to watch Machado when he took her to a gym to exercise. “They took me to the gym, and I’m exposed to 90 media outlets.” Machado also told The New York Times that Trump was there, so he clearly knew what was going to happen.

Machado told “Inside Edition” that the incident made her feel publicly body-shamed and added that Trump called her names. “He called me Miss Piggy,” she revealed, saying it made her feel “so fat.” “I was very depressed in that moment,” she said.

She says that Trump would make fun of her English skills by calling her "Ms. Housekeeping"

how is it possible that this asshole gets even 1 minority vote... or a vote from any woman... or a vote from any thinking person?

Two seconds of Alicia Machado waving her flag and saying "Mr. Truump - Ha ha-aaaa!" Make that the next catch-phrase that sweeps the nation 'till Trump is a nationwide laughing stock for every person from two on up. Make it the stock reply to every single republican purple rage blustering bullying lie. Post it everywhere from sig lines to billboards to light poles.

"Hillary Clinton (lie spit curse swear lie grunt spew!)" Make flag waving motion and say "Mr. Truump - Ha ha-aaaa!" Make blood veins vaporize in republican sphincters. (Yes- I know- "republican" and "sphincter" is a repetitive statement.)

This election is the only reason she decided to become a citizen after all these years?

The article doesnt really give much info, but the headline basically says that's the only reason she wants to be a citizen. So what happens when the election is over?

worst violent crime rates in the world. She's fleeing danger and seeking opportunity. She's a smart young lady with connections, purpose and a bright future.

The voting in this PARTICULAR election is the icing on her cake--and it's tasty icing, too. She got her citizenship "just in time" (per the article) to be eligible to vote in this election.

Good for her. She can vote AGAINST the guy who called her "Miss Piggy" in front of the international press corps.

He's so svelte, himself:

I think that naked statue was KIND, actually...

In addition to pride and inspiration as mentioned (though in the body of the story and in much smaller font, so I understand the oversight).

" So what happens when the election is over?
As in most cases, US elections do not revoke citizenship status, so we may presume she'll yet still be a citizen and the US will have a new president.

I'm not sure she decided to become a citizen to vote against Trump.

Although I can see why she would be thrilled to vote against him.
