Myself included. I also know she has a lot of support around these parts. While I never lost an argument to said individual , they did often post links to great information. I'm always appreciative of that and give thanks where it is due. Nadine has also composed some solid articles at her new outlet.
For her supporters and those who support independent journalism:

(111,367 posts)I know the local fishwrap just pulls stories off AP and once in a while some politician's press release will get in there. Rarely will local stories about dull things like city council meetings (that cover stuff that really does affect us) make the news. I imagine short staffing and lousy reimbursement of travel and work overtime are to blame.
I wish she'd come back. She was a great source for information.

And this could simply be the area I live. Everything is covered by our local big three and our papers. Much of it by independents selling stories.
Your point is not lost on me and I do think we should be supporting independent journalists.

(16,993 posts)I wouldn't sully my browser by clicking on that link.
That poster goes out of her way to make herself part of the story and goes to bizarre lengths to do so. She plays victim far too often to be credible. The way she made herself part of the story after the first BLM activists confronted Sanders by comparing her questioning from a bureaucrat to AA's being shot in the street by cops was just downright freakish. No thanks. That is not "reporting."
I'm only contributing this because she has blamed people here for harassing her (once again the victim) at that link, and I wouldn't give her the hits. Interestingly, she lambasts this website for enforcing standards, but IP bans anyone who posts something she doesn't like at that above "blog". No thanks.

(30,481 posts)She did so in almost every conversation I have ever had with her. That includes conversations where I was holding progressive positions and she was arguing conservative positions.
After I got to know her posts here I found communicating with her to be fun. Initially it was extremely irritating.
I think some of the things you mention are why she is in her current position. Actually, I know it is.

(30,481 posts)I really was trying to be helpful as it's clearly necessary. Her message back calling me a bully was wrought with grammatical errors. It was just one more occasion where she made me smile.

(38,334 posts)English is the most promiscuous language on the planet. Nobody is going to damage English if they don't follow the "rules."
That stuff you learned from your seventh grade English teacher is a guideline, not the law.
I'm much more troubled by incomprehensible garble that follows the rules of English spelling and grammar perfectly than I am by "bad" spelling or grammar.
I encourage people to write first. If grammar and spelling matter it can be fixed later.

(34,845 posts)But liberally sprinkled with words like "we" and "us" as if to imply she was at the vanguard of some immense team when it was just her writing a blog. The whining about being bullied when she was the one doing the bullying was always too much.
Her conviction that Clinton's statements about her emails were exactly like Watergate was the ultimate in self-serving delusion.
If she somehow learns to communicate more effectively online without the prickliness and self-promotion, I would not mind at all. But I don't think she could do that.

(80,708 posts)I suspect they're profoundly disappointed or take a lot of shit in their actual, real world lives, so they try to pump up their self-esteem by taking it out on strangers.
Frankly, I have little patience for bullies. I don't give a fuck how "deserving" the target supposedly is.
I don't agree with everything that person says, maybe they can be annoying, but a LOT of people here can be annoying, myself included.
But hell, If I wanted to make a list from my perspective of the most annoying people on DU over the past 12 years or so, I don't even think she'd crack the top 10.
