While we were sleeping, SpaceX sticks another landing.

Haven't seen an article, so I'll just leave the pic here.

SpaceX has successfully launched the JCSAT-16 communications satellite on a geostationary transfer orbit.

It's a heavy payload to a high orbit, so the first stage landing was going to be fast and hot, so the odds were against them.

But...

Skies were clear, I easily saw MECO & 2nd stage ignition.

Night launches are always the most impressive, it's just nice when they're not so late!
