When Will Climate Change/Global Warming Deniers Ever Get It?

We are no experience almost continuous extreme weather in the US. And the same goes for the rest of the planet that is NOT even mentioned in our mainstream media. They hide most the evidence or stories that clearly show that something bad is happening.

In the US it is constant threatening weather. It can be Tornadoes, huge unprecedented rain storms, lightning, extreme heat in summer or huge winter storms with copious amounts of storms. It seems like this summer disruptive violent weather is happening somewhere in the US every day. Climatologists are producing even more sever weather turbulence that will become he new norm over time.

Of course, it is probably already too late to step away from the weather runaway train completely. And deniers are waiting until we cannot avoid a direct hit before they admit something needs to be done. It is almost like they desire disaster as some sort of Armageddon event.

When:
1. It starts to obviously affect their bottom line, and
2. They can figure out a way to blame it all on Liberals.

Until both of those are in place, they will continue denying.

edit: Ready4Change has an excellent point about Republican Profiteers & Propagandists waiting until they see an opportunity to blame it all on liberals & progressives. That PROJECTION SHIT fits perfectly with the gross Republican character deformities, to wit, their absolute fundamentalist refusal to be honest and responsible citizens, or to do the right thing.

Some of the college science programs as well. You can get a college degree without any science courses.

Understand the carbon cycle and fundamental thermodynamics and these people will have an ephinay.

It's pretty hard to find solutions if many people don't acknowledge the problem.

By the way, I'm personally far more concerned about other human-made problems... like nuclear weapons.

I'm even more concerned about CME's from the Sun and millions of people dying if our electrical power grid, electronic devices and communications are wiped out. Public water is generally pumped into towers with electric motors too. Meanwhile, this country doesn't even make it's own large transformers anymore.

There's even bigger worries than global warming in the short term. Global warming has simply become more of a political hot-button issue.

A lot of people I know believe in the science of climate change, but they also believe we can't really do anything effective to stop it without crippling our way of life. They'll say we should just put our efforts into 'dealing with the effect's because it would cost to much to do anything else.

They'll start believing in the reality of climate change/global warming when 1) the oil money dries out or 2) when hell freezes over.
