In that spirit, I offer this link to Jonah Goldberg's column in The National Review:

Here's my favorite line from a fairly intelligent (for a conservative) article:
There are other imageries that one will find in the article. I love it when the Republicans devour one another.

(51 posts)been reading their negative articles about Trump for months, but fear that only fires up his "base" that loves to imagine he's "anti-establishment" but have to give them creds for exposing this hairball in the hall considering they are so RW.

(22,050 posts)The Conservative Coalition that supported the Republican Party for the past 30 years coalesced around all of the negative themes of Donald Trump's campaign. Every single one of the un-American attitudes espoused by the GOP has encouraged and supported the rise of Donald Trump's candidacy.
Yet Republicans are incapable of introspection or even self-awareness. They are unable to see their own culpability in Donald Trump's rise. Accordingly, they are casting about, wildly looking for a target for their unease with the political realities they face.
I love Republican cannibalism!

(9,000 posts)He is as bad as the rest of them. In essence he is saying that he would support a lunatic for the Presidency if he could only hide his lunacy for a couple of months. Just like the rest of the morally bankrupt republicans it is all about winning with zero regard for the consequences.
