http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/florida-man-killed-ironic-road-rage-incident-article-1.2747070Fifteen years ago Florida native Gary Lynne Durham killed a man in a road rage incident and served 10 years in prisonon Wednesday he was killed in another traffic related dispute that family of his victim are calling "ironic."
Durham, 40, was fatally shot at early Wednesday in Plant City, Fla. after he got out of his black Mazda pickup during rush hour and confronted a man stopped behind him driving a Ford SUV.
Its unclear what led to the confrontation, but it escalated to the point that the Ford driver, 42-year-old Roger Padgett, pulled out his handgun and fired at least one one round into Durham.
Padgett called 911 and attempted to resuscitate Durham as he lay dying on the pavement, but he could not be saved.

(24,461 posts)That's not necessarily a snarl against people from Florida. "Florida Man" is more a euphemism for dumbasses who exercise snap judgement, "good idea at the time" aggressive behavior that usually results in serious injury or, like here, death. The "Florida Man" exists in bunches in Ohio, PA, Maryland, West Virginia, you name it.
These people still wish it was the mid-to-late 80s, where they were able to usually get away with bullying abusive actions. That was a time where cameras weren't everywhere. I think that's the kind of era Trump's voters "want to bring back".
