"I don't know." . . . Three words that PROVE Trump was implying assassination.

Here's the full quote:

"Hillary wants to abolish -- essentially abolish the Second Amendment. By the way, if she gets to pick, . . . if she gets to pick her judges, . . . nothing you can do, folks. . . . Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I don't know. . . . But I tell you what, that will be a horrible day, if Hillary gets to put her judges in, right now we're tied."

Why would he say "I don't know"? Only to pretend to disavowal his dark suggestion. (Just like "Some people are saying" and variants thereof deflect his responsibility for what's coming out of his mouth.)

But these words make no sense in the Trump-Hannity-shithead scenario. Could he have possibly meant that if the 2nd Amendment types banded together to support him he doesn't know if it would be effective?

It makes absolutely no sense for him to say these three words unless he was jokingly walking back his suggestion that Hillary and/or her judges could be effectively assassinated.

It was a joke gone bad. A vile joke. And the coy downplaying ("I don't know&quot sits like a cherry atop a turd.

That would be a great day for Trump and the NRA.

1.) The 2nd Amendment types might assassinate Hillary and/or her appointed judges.

2.) "I don't know" used to playfully undercut his suggestion.

3.) Continuing the thought of assignation and trying to walk it back even further he says "But I tell you what, that (future assassination) will be a horrible day"

4.) Then to squirm further away from his original suggestion he improvises by overlaying a new subject for "horrible day": "if Hillary gets to put her judges in"

5.) Then to show he's really only concerned with the Court (distancing himself further from his suggestion), he segues into its balance.

What does this show us? That he knows his suggestion was out of bounds! It shows he knows right for wrong and chooses to do wrong.

The West Wing, boy, I don't know! What a terrific series and if you watch many of the episodes today, the issues they tackled are still with us.

Thanks for posting the clip, CincyDem!
